Earlier this week I told you about the Wusthof Steak Knife Set I purchased as a Christmas present for my dad. It's only right that I now tell you what I bought my mom. Ya know when the saying "oh, she gets it from her momma", yeah well I sure did get my passion for cooking from her! Growing up my mom was always in the kitchen , she cooked eveything from scratch- it wasn't until I was a teenager did I even know boxed mash potatoes existed!
When considering a Christmas gift for her, I wanted it to be something fabulous but useful. In an age when less is more and practicality is king, I felt this year I wanted to pick something she can use everyday, not just on special occasions.Year after year it gets harder to pick a gift, I did the pricey purses, expensive perfumes, fine clothing, jewelry -you name it, I bought it . I thought well I've accessorized her, now why not her stove! So I began on my quest for spectacular cookware. I wanted a set that was useful, stylish and well made. Seriuosly it's hard to come by all three! There at Kohl's, I found this fine and fancy stainless steel tri-ply 10pc cookware by Food Network and into my shopping cart it went. Here is what the cookware is fantastic at:
- Heats Quickly
- Evenly Distributes Heat
- Comes with a Nice array of pan sizes ( Set includes: 9 1/2-in. skillet, 11-in. sauté pan, 1 1/2-qt. covered saucepan, 3-qt. covered saucepan, 5-qt. covered sauteuse & 8-qt. covered stockpot )
- I love how the 1 1/2 qt sauce pot coemes with a lid that strains, great for pasta, soup or sauce!!!
- Super Stylish
What could use a slight drop of improvement- the weight of the pots. This is some serious cookware and I would expect nothing less from my friends at Food Network but the pots are a bit on the heavy side.Partly why they cook so well but at the same time, be sure to use two hands when you're picking them up! Saty tuned for some of the latest dishes I prepared in the new cookware!
So tell me what are you cooking in your lastest cookware set!

I bought this set recently, and had to return it. There were some spots that appeared all over the inside bottom of the pans, after the initial use. I just opened the replacement set today, but I need to take a couple back, because there is some weird markings that won't come off on the inside bottom of a couple of the pans. I am hoping they work well, because I have a heap of holiday things to do tomorrow..
