Homemade Rice-A-Roni- Bachelor's Kitchen Tuesday's


I grew up on Rice a Roni, my mom used to make it all the time. I absolutely love it! Although my palate has become more refined, I still love the stuff. Truthfully it makes an awesome side dish. Guys, we all know it's the side dish everyone wants  more of. Knowing how to make awesome sides is priceless. I'd like to show you my super easy recipe for Homemade Rice a Roni, this will be your ace up the sleeve. 

Ingredients (serves 4)
1 cup of orzo
4 tbsp of butter
Cube of Chicken Bouillon
2 cups of hot water
1/4 cup of half and half

Directions
In a small sauce pan, add orzo and butter- toast 3- 5 minutes
After orzo is toasted add in chicken bouillon- cook 1 minute
Stand back this will splash- pour in hot water bring to a boil then lower heat to a simmer cook 20-25 minutes or until orzo is soft. Stir pot every 5 minutes to make it extra creamy
During the last 5 minutes of cooking add in half and half, stir and serve.
Toast
Simmer
Serve
